Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP) Commissioner, BH Anil Kumar informed that all journalists and police personnel in the city will be tested for COVID-19 by the state government starting from Thursday, April 23.
Taking to Twitter Anil Kumar wrote, “All journalists and police personnel in #Bengaluru who have been working during the #lockdown will be tested for #COVID19 by the Karnataka Govt. They are also a part of our city’s #CoronaWarriors and hoping that they and their families have nothing to worry.”
The decision was taken after 53 journalists tested positive for COVID-19 in neighboring Maharashtra.
