New Delhi: The northeast has the potential to become the country”s growth engine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday, noting that peace is now being established in the entire region.
He made these remarks at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Manipur Water Supply project via a video link.
While blockades have become a part of history in Manipur, the era of decades of violence has ceased in Assam, the prime minister said in his address.

PM Modi launches Asia’s largest solar plant in Madhya Pradesh

Rewa: Launching Asia’s largest 750 MW solar power project in Rewa in Madhya Pradesh through video-conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the state will emerge as a major hub for clean and cheap power in the country.
India has emerged as the most attractive global market for clean energy, Modi said.
Solar energy is sure, pure and secure and the country is now among the top five solar power producers in the world,” he said.
The Rewa solar power plant will not only supply power to Madhya Pradesh, but also to the Delhi Metro, Modi said.
This Rewa project comprises three solar generating units of 250 MW each located on a 500 hectare plot of land situated inside a Solar Park (total area 1500 hectare).
The Solar Park was developed by the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL), a joint venture company of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVN), and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a Central Public Sector Undertaking.

“India’s enemies have seen both your fire and fury,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said to boost the morale of the soldiers,
“Your courage is higher than the heights where you are posted today,” the PM added.

New Delhi: Days after a violent face-off between Indian and Chinese troops in East Ladakh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, July 3 reached Leh with Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat.
Modi reached Leh around 9.30 am, sources said.
“The prime minister is presently at one of the forward locations in Nimu and is interacting with personnel of the Army, Air Force, and ITBP,” official sources said.
Located at 11,000 feet, Nimu is among the toughest terrains, on the banks of river Indus and surrounded by the Zanskar range.
The Twitter of BJP took to twitter sharing the images of Modi’s visit and wrote, “PM Narendra Modi visited one of the forward locations in Nimu in Ladakh early morning today. Located at 11K feet, this is among the tough terrains, surrounded by the Zanskar range and on the banks of the Indus. He interacted with personnel of the Army, Air Force and ITBP.”
